Having avoided migraines since my middle teens, I managed to have my third this year last night. I have no idea why. The first happened after a netball match on election night and could have been the result of tizzying over who to vote for, the second popped up most inconveniently when I was helping a friend to unpack her books (can you believe Jo (CBB Joey) let me loose on her bookshelves? I came home with a double armful of books on loan and three times as many earmarked for the future) and was possibly sparked by a cup of redbush tea, and the third was last night. Molto bizarro. It wasn't too bad, but meant that I had an early night. I still have a migraine hangover today - woolly, tingly head, lights flashing when I blink, eyes fuzzy. Wish I knew what was causing them!

Halloween Costume making activity at work today and I am hiding in my office. At two I'll go and take over in the cafe (in reality I'll probably go and help beforehand - it sounds busy) and generally get on with the preparations for the forthcoming Special Event Day (so if anyone is in the area and would like to come along to Halloween at Denny on Sunday; pumpkin carving, apple bobbing...).

friends, books, work, ouch
