When Is a Day Off Not a Day Off?

#1 When you have to go to the dentist. I would like to add that it wasn't nearly as traumatic as the previous trip. Just a couple of small fillings no extractions.

#2 When you have a work related conference call. Lasted 1 hour and 15 minutes. At least I could sit in my own living-room on my own couch, much more comfortable than at work. At least there were 14 other people with sore ears after it was over. Misery does love company.

The call is over and my boss is ordering the store a new vacuum. No more noisy yellow vacuum. That will make life better at the store. Hopefully we will get it sooner rather than later.

I have redone the work schedule for the week ending 12-24-05. Dan is back from basic training, that makes me happy. He has a calming effect on me and I need that during the next three weeks. The Home Office has given us extra hours for the next three weeks which made a schedule redo necessary. That I can live with.

I think I will make a batch of fudge for Christmas tonight. I'll hold off on the cream caramels (they are my weakness), maybe this Sunday for that. I have most of my Christmas cards done. At some point we're going to have to get going on wrapping the gifts. I found wrapping paper with penguins on it. My husband actually wraps gifts better than I do and he does laundry - I am spoiled:)
