Today
Having a job is a good thing, but I wish I did not have to work today.
I have a newly married daughter returning home today from the Williasmsburg honeymoon and she and her groom have to separate once again. He has not yet transferred his job (soon, please) and she is waiting to hear a yes or no on the job she did a second interview for a couple of weeks ago. If she gets an offer, she will say yes - and this means he will need to transfer north vs. south. So it's a marriage begun with a few more details needed to be sorted out.
It will be very difficult and sad to separate today - and they will hopefully not have a long period apart. But today I wish I could be here when she returns home. Her dad will be home early at least - and that will be a good thing.
I've missed her but I would happily sacrifice the time with her if she has the opportunity for a librarian job away from the 'Burg. Please God. Soon.
