When the alarm went off, Giles reached over and quickly shut it off. He watched with amusement as Fred slowly woke up. “Morning, love,” he murmured against her lips. He slowly deepened the kiss but pulled away when he remembered they had to work. Giles had gotten used to lounging around in bed with her for half the morning.
“It took me some getting used to also. Back in Sunnydale, before our final fight, we always slept to noon since most of our work was at night.” He stretched out a bit and looked at the clock. “I think perhaps we need to separate for the rest of the time or I’m afraid we won’t make it to work on time.” Giles slowly removed himself from Fred’s embrace and stood from the bed.
“I’ll take a shower first so you can sleep a bit longer,” he said, bending down and kissing her again. He grabbed a towel and went to the bathroom and started the shower. He was going to have to set the alarm clock to go off sooner so he could spend proper time with Fred in the morning.
Fred knew that he was right - as much as she wanted to spend more time with him before they had to get up, they just didn't have the time. It would be an adaption after all the time they had spent together over the last week, but as wonderful as it was, they couldn't really spend the rest of their lives in bed

Giles tried not to take his time in the shower, remembering he had someone living with him. It’d been years since he’d shared his living space with someone else. True, he had allowed Spike to live with him but this was different. He could’ve cared less if he used up all the hot water when Spike and him lived together. But he cared now since he didn’t want Fred upset with him

"I'm sure it'll be fine since I won't need to really shower since I did that last night," she told him as she picked up her bag with her make-up and other toiletries. She smiled at him when he mentioned clearing out space for her. "That would be great since otherwise, I'll be living out a suitcase. As for dinner...ummm...wasn't really thinking about anything special, no. I'm sure we can figure out something when we get home later
