Continued from here

As Fred spoke, Giles could feel his eyes sliding shut. Fred's voice was calming and something he'd needed all week long. He could hear her talking about Faith and he nodded his head. "Ah, yes, Faith was in Los Angeles. I remember her telling us that. Old age must be creeping up on me," he said with yawn. He snuggled closer to Fred and opened his eyes.

"I'm sorry I'm not good company right now. It's been an exhausting week," Giles said before nuzzling against her hair. "From what I was told, Faith kidnapped Wesley and tortured him. Angel stopped her and then took her under his wing. Got her to go to prison and stay there. Suppose they bonded over their murdering ways. Sorry."

He pulled the blankets over them and pressed himself against. Giles loved the feel of Fred's skin against his. "I was taught two different things growing up. My mother taught me how to forgive while my father taught me not to trust those who have wronged you," he explained, his fingers running through her hair. "Faith caused a lot of damage and I just can't forgive her. And why wouldn't Faith like you? Did you touch her stake?"
