i hadn't watched a movie in god knows how long. and i'm happy to say that the first movie i watched was awesome. bonus: one of my favourite female artists that i haven't seen in a while was in it, mandy moore. anyways, i'm going to rant a bit (possibly spoilerish)

i'm happy to say that mandy's chosen a more mature role to play. she's not the jamie sullivan that you loved in a walk to remember. but i guarantee that you'll still love her after watching this. she's the absolutely clutsy and love-cursed milly so well. i loved wacthing her with diane keaton. they make an awesome mother-daughter combo. plus add in two nosy sisters, and you get the nuttiest family of girls. wilder indeed

and i know a lot of people said that it was very chessy and cliched, it really isn't a bad flick. i was actually scared that i wouldn't end up liking it, cause i tend to cringe everytime corny and cliched lines/scenes get played out. and yes, not to say that there weren't any corny scenes (cause there was plenty of it). but it was still so heart-warming.

you've got diane keaton playing a meddling, jaded, inexperienced-in-love, busy-bodied mother. she's absolutely hilarious in this film. i especially love all of her awkwardness when it came right down to s-e-x. haha, yes you heard me. her character is a mother of three daughters (mandy's character being the youngest) and she's less experienced in sex than them. that's quite hilarious considering how rampant her daughters are about it. the scene with the internet website had the entire audience in the theatre laughing. hehe...

did i mention the other cast too. i think everyone in this one was totally fitting. lauren graham, or "lorlelie" from gilmore girls plays an awesome eldest sister/psychiatrist. piper perabo comes off as a bit of a nymph, lol... and she gets the least amount of screen time. but i still think her momentary appearances are hilarious. oh and did i mention that father camden (i so know that's now how you spell he name) from 7th heaven is in it? haha, he's got some of the funniest scenes in the movie with diane keaton.

anyways, good movie. so go watch it! and that's that. now on to watch my goong s and hana yori dango... cause i'm feeling kinda behind right now.

movies, mandy moore
