[The audio feature on a certain PCD comes on with something of a clatter, as though it had been dropped on the floor and thus turned on. The good people of Adstringendum are greeted with what sounds like the tail end of a reconciliatory conversation.]

- so glad that this all worked out, you have no idea.

[The response earns a low, muffled chuckle.]

[He's walked in on bickering and yelling... with a twist. A painful twist. At least they got trapped while hugging?] Harry! Oh, thank goodness! Get us out of this, will you?

[A twist that is quite mockable. But for now, Ron is clawing at the hair on his neck. Nope, he will never get good at this not panicking when choking thing.] What took you so bloody long?

[You'll have to forgive him, Harry.]

[Hermione tilts her head over in Harry's general direction, being sure to do it carefully so as to not further aggravate Ron.]

Please! I'd rather that than him choke to death!

[Ron was trying not to gulp at this point. The more struggling there was the tighter it went, but he still couldn't help but be slightly horrorstruck at the idea of Hermione losing her hair. Nope. Which is why... he's trying really hard not to squirm because it really was just getting worse.]

Brilliant. [All the straining.] Get it over with already.

[Her hair's thick, so she doesn't expect it to come away without a bit of work. When she finally feels some slack against her scalp, she pulls away, heedless of the fact that most of her hair is now almost as short and messy as Harry's. Instead, she cares about untangling the stubborn brown strands from around Ron's throat, trying not to panic at how red Ron's face is.]

Oh, Ron! Ron, are you all right?

[He takes a minute to be able to speak properly again, with a bit of a cough for a moment before he speaks in a bemused tone.]

Been strangled by worse.

[Hermione doesn't even register Harry's question initially, too concerned with Ron.] Honestly, Ron, it's hardly a competition! You were still choking, and I was so scared-... if not for Harry, Heaven knows what might have happened.

[Oh right. Harry. There's a third person in the room, and she finally turns to look at him, though her hands are still fussy over the last strands of hair at Ron's throat.] Me? I'm fine, really. Ron was the one choking; I would just wince a bit when he thrashed and pulled at my-....

[Oh... she's going to reach a hand up to run it through her hair now. And she looks down at that hand in utter shock when she realizes how soon it ran out of hair. She doesn't answer, though, since she's trying to remind herself that Ron is more important than some stupid hair.]

Come off it, would could be worse than brains? [It was barely audible and was far less distinguishable than Hermione's as she had started speaking. Rolling his eyes at Hermione's words.] Believe me, I don't want to make a bloody competition of being strangled.

[He'd glanced up when Hermione cut off from speaking, hand reaching to his throat to rub where the strands of hair were finally rid of. Eyes kept on her a moment before glancing at Harry.] Should be able to do something for it, right?

[She bites her lip for a moment before shaking her head.]

It's only hair. What matters is that Ron is safe. Thank you, Harry.
