It's funny, and somewhat unfortunate that I keep choosing two different topics to cover in a single day's post. Perhaps this type of indecision is the reason behind the stagnant state of my wordpress blog, which tend to demand a bit more quality and coherent thought compared to my livejournal?

Apparently the guys at NASA are sending participating people's names along with the new Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter vehicle. All you have to do is to visit the website and click on the 'Send Your Name to the Moon' link, after which you'll be prompted to enter your own name. You can also print/save a certificate of participation as a pdf file.

I just found out that the NASA Phoenix mission will be landing at Mars at May 25th of our Earth date. The mission is designed to search for traces of life forms native to arctic Martian environment, most likely to be around Bacterial regime or below. How long had it been since the Viking mission?
