Book 37: Catching Fire

OMG. Suzanne Collins is freaking B.R.I.L.L.I.A.N.T. This sequel was even better than her first book, The Hunger Games. I can't believe it. I might just like these two books more than I like Harry Potter. Collins made me feel emotions I never felt before while reading a book. I was terrified, horrified, angry as all hell, pained, and even distressed. I should have worn a heart monitor for the last five or six chapters. I'm pretty sure I was dangerously close to a heart attack. Anyway, the beauty of Collins' writing lies in her ability to literally sweep her readers up and transport them via hovercraft right into the story itself. At some points, you feel like an observer, but you are never, ever far away from the real action. She also throws twists out left and right in Catching Fire. During The Hunger Games, it was somewhat easy for me to judge what was coming up. Not in Catching Fire however. My head is still spinning, much like Katniss'.
