LMAO. I don't care, I'll still go see this because I can just pretend its Dresden.

Though now I feel a need to screencap the trailer and make icons that say "not harry Dresden"

I still plan on seeing it too. This is pretty much Nicholas Cage's revenge for Scifi not continuing The Dresden Files. He loves those books and he was executive producer of the show. Since Scifi won't continue the show and won't let go of the rights until 2012 this is his revenge.

Haven't they now changed their name to SyFy or something equally ridiculous? At least in the UK the channel is still SciFi.

So they are keeping their options open are they by holding onto the rights or just making it hard for Cage to raise interest elsewhere? I like Nic Cage a lot even if he did tamper with 'The Wicker Man' and appreciated the man's input intp the Dresden Files. I swear he's a secret wizard :)

Yes, their name is now Syfy, which ironically (I kid you not) is Polish for Rubbish. That's why in Poland they're still Scifi Channel. But I think in the UK they'll be switching to Syfy soon too ( ... )

Hehe. Thank you. I recently added a new picture to make the comparison more obvious. :-)

I loved the series(I owns it!) and it was awesome. It is a shame that a proper Dresden movie can't be done yet.

He also didn't borrow Mouse or Mister, which is probably a good thing

I haven't seen the Sorcerer's Apprentice yet so he might have a version of Mouse or Mister (if not both). So I'm not sure about that yet. :-P

I get that Nick Cage is pissed at SyFy (who isn't, since the name change?), but it would be nice if Jim Butcher made something off of this obvious rip-off of Dresden.
