Ah, S.M. Stirling. I got a whopping six pages into the first book in one of his series and I stopped reading. Usually I try to read at least half of a book before calling it quits, but this was too much.

I feel like I read this book before...but I think at the time it was called 1632 and was written by Eric Flint.
