I'm going to see Chicago in April!
The Baptist Student Ministries at my school had a fundraiser for missions tonight. Part of the way they were raising money was through a silent auction. I bid on several things, and ended up winning a couple of gift certificates for a restaurant... and tickets to see the musical Chicago when it comes to town! I got two tickets for only $50. I don't remember their actual value (I think it was around $110), but at any rate, they're center orchestra, row H. In other words, I got amazing seats for only $25 each!
I love the performing arts, especially musicals. While I've seen quite a few musicals, there are tons I have yet to see, including Chicago. I have the movie soundtrack, and I'd been wanting to rent the movie, but seeing it live is so much better! Especially at this price. Even if I'm disappointed by the performance for some reason, at least I'll only have paid $25 (since I'm sure I can find a friend who'll go with me and pay me back $25), which is less than half price.
