1. Which TV shows did you start watching in 2011? A lot! The only show I watched in 2010 was Bones, so a lot of new shows this year! Firefly, Being Human, Torchwood, Doctor Who, Criminal Minds, Sherlock, Once Upon a Time, and let's throw Castle in there, why not?

2. Which TV shows did you let go of in 2011? Criminal Minds; I got part way through season 5 and couldn't go any further. I watch too much dark stuff already that one more dark show was a bit much (I'm a really bright and bouncy person in real life, though). Plus, season 7 is airing currently, so I don't feel like I can catch up at the moment. Maybe another marathon this summer.

3. Which TV shows did you mean to get into but didn't in 2011? The Wire and Pan Am, mainly. Terra Nova, as well. I rented the first season of the Wire from the library twice but didn't get around to it, and I bought the first season, but it's still in the plastic wrap, waiting to be watched. The first nine episodes of Pan Am are on my iTunes, waiting to be watched. I have the pilot of Terra Nova, but comments on the rest of the season leave it in the waiting queue.

4. Which TV shows do you intend on checking out in 2012? Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes, maybe, some more random BBC stuff. Nothing specific, though.

ETA: Just remembered! The L.A. Complex, starring Jewel Staite (Kaylee on Firefly), is premiering January 10 at 10 pm on Much Music and CTV, and then continuing on Tuesdays at 10 pm on Much. I'm looking forward to it.

5. Which TV show impressed you least in 2011? Why? Bones. The writing was all over the place for season 6, which made it hard to watch. I think there's still some eps or parts of eps I haven't seen, either.

6. Which TV show do you think you might let go of in 2012 unless things significantly improve? Most of the shows I watch are either done, are waiting for filming to start, or have no plans for renewal, and the others are of decent to amazing quality this year, so I have none that I'm planning on letting go of.

7. Which TV show impressed you the most in 2011? Why? Castle. It starts out similar to Bones, but then it becomes its own thing, and it's really flourishing into something amazing.

8. Which TV shows do you think you'll never let go of no matter how crappy they get? Why? Castle. Partly because of Nathan Fillion, my fellow Canadian. Still trying to catch up on Doctor Who, so no comment there.

1. Your main fandom(s) of the year: Bones, Torchwood, Being Human.

2. Your favourite film this year: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. The other one I saw in theatres isn't worth mentioning.

3. Your favourite book this year: Beauty Queens, by Libba Bray is the one that really sticks out.

4. Your favourite TV show this year: Castle

6. Your favourite LJ community this year: Don't have one.

7. Your best new fandom discovery of the year: I have discovered Firefly and Doctor Who cross-stitch, particularly a massive one of Ten. I would like do some after I finish the current cross-stitch I'm working on, and the other one I have.

8. Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year: Don't really have one. I think because I came into so many fandoms so fast, I can objectively look at everything without having angst at my favorite characters being "destroyed". Torchwood: Miracle Day I have some issues with, though.

9. Your TV/Movie boyfriends of the year: Daniel Radcliffe because everyone else is way older than me, and that would be creepy.

10. Your TV/Movie girlfriends of the year: Don't really have one.

11. Your biggest squee moment of the year: When my favorite author (Libba Bray) and John Barrowman responded to/retweeted me on Twitter on the same day.

12. Your most missed old fandom: Nobody's gonna know this show, and that's okay, I don't expect you to. Delilah and Julius, a Canadian teenage spy cartoon on Teletoon which didn't get the respect it deserved. Two years later, and there's STILL no DVDs out beyond the first thirteen eps.
