Okay, so I finally has a full-time job... almost. That is, I am officially off the Temp agency's books and on the payroll of the new place. Sort of. Pending the last paperwork and stuff. Clocking in on the "Casual" slot rather than my own, named slot. But I'm almost there!
Ye gods. Some days I feel like I'm running along the street, chasing a $5 note that some around the corner is pulling on a string. Or maybe I'm on one of those mathematical curve graphs that I can't remember the name of that always get closer and closer to zero but never hit it.
The day I actually get "closure" on this thing, I'll probably die of shock. My dad keeps on calling me to ask why I haven't told him of the good news and I keep having to tell him there isn't any...
On the plus side, I'm reading through the original Conan the Barbarian chronicles right now. I always assumed they started as a comic book, but thanks to
mr_razorz I now know they were actual real written stories back in the 30's or so. They kick ass, although the abundance of scantily clad women in it does get a bit much. There is even one story that actually begins with a description of Conan standing in a desert with a semi-clad girl clutching his leg as per the classic pictures. He was the James Bond of the Hyborian age, methinks.
And Giant Snakes. Why does it always have to be Giant snakes? *sigh*
Oh, and since I've gotten TV viewing access back, I'm becoming addicted to American Idol. Shoot me.
