Distractions

Sitting across from Ayla while doing my uni readings is... interesting. So far we've discussed:

* Return of artefacts to their countries of origins (specifically the Parthenon/Elgin marbles and Berlin's Nefertiti)
* How museums with small collections - such as the Holocaust section of the Sydney Jewish Museum - operate
* The Holocaust
* The Spanish Inquisition and European witch hunts
* The Hiroshima/Nagasaki bombs and whether the US was justified

After the last argument Ayla tried to poison me with chocolate that smelled and tasted like blue vein cheese. She apologised and threw it out, but I know what was really going on! It took a piece of Lindt 70%, a nectarine and a whole pot of T2's honeybush and vanilla tea to get the taste out of my mouth.

I have completed 3/4 of my Wednesday readings... *sigh*

Ayla and I have finished The Magician's Nephew and started on Ronia, the Robber's Daughter.

In other news, all six of my lj icons are now Arthur Rackham fairy tale silhouettes.
