So let's say you were out running errands around town and you managed to get into a car accident. Nothing too major... just a fender bender. The accident was your fault. The occupants in the other vehicle include a mother and her young child. The child however, was not wearing a restraint at the time of the accident and was moderately injured, but requiring immediate medical attention. If the child had been wearing his/her seatbelt there would have been no injuries at all.
Do you blame yourself for the child's injury, or do you blame the mother for failing to properly secure her child?
