Let's talk more about baby showers, shall we?
How do you feel about baby showers for adopting parents?
What if they are adopting an older child, rather than a baby?
What about a baby shower for a woman who is giving her baby up for adoption, rather than raising it herself?
What about a smaller thing and gifts would focus more on stuff for the mother's postpartum time and keepsakey things, rather than diapers and onesies?
What if she is considering adoption, but hasn't made her final decision yet?
When should showers be thrown? At some point during the pregnancy (when?) or after the baby's birth?
Should the father be involved in the shower, or should it be a mother-only event?
On that note... co-ed showers?
And of course, the Big Question. Are baby showers a fun celebration of a new life about to start, or a mind-numbing torture for all but the mother and a few of the cluckier older aunts?
