Starting over.

A teenage boy is raped and his rapist becomes pregnant as a result. She lies to him and says it isnt his, gives the child up for adoption and many years pass. The boy grows into a good, steady man, a good husband, and a wonderful father, but he wonders about that child. 24years pass, the child is now an adult, but the man still wonders, and one day he hears that the woman has told other people in the same small town that the child, now a young adult, was indeed this mans child. What is to be done? About the woman, about the child? What would you say to this man? How best would you support him? Is there anything that can or should be done about his rapist? If the man feels no harm was done, will telling him that harm WAS done, even if he doesnt realize it, help him in any way? Will it help anyone else? Does the resultant child deserve to know who his or her father is? Should sleeping dogs be left to lie? Only some of them? Which ones?

Man i hope i wrote this one right. I realized that i was totally insensitive in the previous post, and the more i thought about it the more i realized that i was too close to the situation, couldnt see the forest for the trees as it were, and as a result i was triggering and sexist. Im sorry.
