i accomplished far less this weekend than i wanted to, due to a more painful than normal visit with aunt flow. blech. she appears to have left the building for now (good riddance, beyotch!), so i can concentrate on more things than feeling miserable.
sunday, i managed to do 'spring cleaning dusting', which activity probably won't happen again until fall. but i got the whole house dusted, so that's good. i vaccuumed the the whole upstairs and stairs, and swept, vaccuumed, and mopped the upstairs bathroom, and the entry-way. then i went out to eat to get out of the house. i was going to finish vaccuming, at least, but it didn't quite happen. it will probably happen today when i get home, or tomorrow.
left to do for spring cleaning:
* vaccuum the living room, kitchen, and downstairs bath.
*sweep and mop the kitchen and downstairs bath.
* i have another sinkfull of dirty dishes
* and more clothes to put away.
* clean the toilets
other things i was going to get to but didn't this weekend - although since this is all outside stuff, i blame the two days worth of rain for my failure here:
* return a couple items to lowe's
* pot the canna lilly coworker gave me
* add more dirt to the potato pot and the blackberry pots
* spraypaint the primer coat on the 3 'long' pots i got
* stain the four bed-raising boxes i've got.
tonight after work, i'm going to go to lowe's and get that knocked out, and buy some spray varnish to protect the paint jobs on various pots and boxes. part of the reason i didn't pot up the canna lilly? i'd bought a pot for it that was fairly deep and wide, because coworker told me they get to five feet, easy. so the pot is maybe a foot and a half tall, and the mouth is 20" diameter. i didn't punch holes into it before this weekend, figuring i'd just do it as part of the potting up process. then the rain came. and more rain came. then more rain came. no lie, this thing was literally full to the brim with rainwater come sunday morning. so i used the rainwater to water the plants. recycling - gotta love it!
