Thank you! Finished reading it and I do enjoy the fellas when they start talking over one another - sometimes I was a little uncertain who was talking at times, but I think just re-reading will clear that up.
I'm flattered that you like the "Dear Rob" 'Verse, and the fairy tale theme is weaving around all my work it seems. I'm not really sure why I hit on it, but it was clear from the start that Papa Bear and his schemes always needed a bit of luck, and then I also thought, what if the old tales were ancient truths that folk just forgot? And you are thinking of my story, "A Fairy Tale - from the Dear Rob 'Verse", where in a manner of speaking, Hogan does become Cinderella, but it's really Klink who's both Cinderella and the Prince. As to the smut, well, that's a part of several other fics in progress and I think that if I play it right, saying just enough will really do the trick.
If you want, you can email me at loremisstressre@yahoo.com for a longer convo - I hate being anon and no I'm not joining anything since I really don't blog, vlog, tweet, twerk, chat or chit, but I do have several theories about slash in our fandom. In brief:
1 - HH people tend to be older and still remember a time when 'gay' meant 'happy', period. 2 - HH reflected a world where most people were poor, lived in more crowded environs, had lots of relatives and friends under the same roof, and could throw an arm over a friend (if you were lucky, sometimes regardless of gender) without the world sniggering and thinking that you were 'gay for each other'. Those of us old enough to remember that looked on the Col as 'normal' and the best damned CO in forever. 3 - When it comes to Hogan and Klink, invading your personal space is part of the con - make you comfortable or uncomfortable, lower your defenses or rattle your cage. 4 - When it comes to Hogan and the men, it's morale boosting, an older brother, uncle, father figure giving you an 'atta-boy' accolade, and it breaks down class barriers without being patronizing.
I could go on, but I think that I've talked your ear off enough - but come on, join up on FFN, so you can vote in the PBAs!
