Blimey!

So it's finally the weekend, but nowadays, that means I only get a little more free time than during the week. But hey, I'll take what I can get. School pretty much flew by yesterday. Watched clips from Futurama and Finding Nemo and the first half of Frida in Film. It's getting to the point where there's nothing I haven't seen yet. But fortunately, there are so many that I can watch multiple times. After school and working out, I had a shift at 24. Ashton trained me a bit for Kid's Club, so I got to watch part of Alice and Wonderland and hold 9 month-old Gavin. Cute little bugger, likes to smash stuff. One of the other kids brought in, Emma Lee, pretty much cried the entire time. Ashton had to hold her the entire time. Plus, she'd cry whenever she saw my face, so I hid behind a binder for most of the time. Didn't take that as a compliment, mind you.

That evening I watched Ian McKellan's Richard III. That's a movie to watch. Takes place in 1930s England under Fascist rule. Superbly acted, except by Robert Downey Jr., surprisingly. Ian McKellan was just awesome to watch, as he usually is. Forget about Hamlet, Richard III is the role to play. The end was a little weak so the movie ends on an off-note, but the whole thing overall was quite good. Some of the best lines, too:

Richard: I can smile. And murder while I smile.

Queen Elizabeth: I have no more sons of the royal blood for you to slaughter.
Richard: You have a daughter.

Richard: I'll have her, but I'll not keep her long.

Richard: Shall I be plain? I wish the bastards dead.

Richard: Sweetly in force unto her fair life's end.
Queen Elizabeth: But how long fairly shall her sweet lie last?
Richard: So long as heaven and nature lenghtens it.
Queen Elizabeth: So long as hell and Richard likes of it.

So sublimely evil. It's science.

In other news, our senate meetings are still 10-20 minutes overtime every time. It's wearing a little on me, but everyone has a point to make and the right to make it. I'm going to try and see As You Like It, tonight. Two Shakespeare plays in as many days may be too much, but we'll see.

Meanwhile, Matt and I are trying to come up with a story idea for the next project. What we have so far just could be promising, or innovative at the very least.
