Wednesdays: the middle of the week

I was walking by the theatre stage in between classes and I heard someone playing Spoon, so I looked in for a minute. The set decorator was playing them on his ipod and we got to talking. Said his name was John and his band, The Stereotypes, had opened for Spoon at Cannes awhile back. Here's the cool part; he gave me their cd. There're few things better than finding new music in unexpected places. I'm a big fan of these random acquaintances.

It was a pretty long day again and I didn't have a chance to eat all day. So I stopped at Pick up Stix on the way home. I'm telling ya, best thing in the world: take out Chinese food and a dvd rental. Ended up watching All about Eve because I'd had it for a few days. I actually liked it a lot more than I had expected. Plenty of that sharp, subtle humor so common in the golden era of Hollywood.

Read Strega Nona this morning for Voice and Diction. That was kinda fun. It's an old Italian story translated into Englisha about a magic pasta pot. Didn't have too much time to rehearse so I did the voices in that kind of non-descript European accents that I just call "the old country". How cool is that? Storybook reading in college. It's sweeping the nation, I tells ya.
