So I finial decided to get off my hump and do this. The last day was pretty sweet. It started with us having to carry some stupid heavy 16 foot rafts down a large flight of stairs, which was difficult because the other people "helping" were lifting like 5 pounds each. The first thing we do in the water on the 8 person raft is ram into a rock at full speed without warning. He tells us to paddle and then stop as he steers us right towards a huge rock as me and Ryan sit in the front row going "...uhh...ohh shi.." and then we almost fall out. The rest of the day was filled with those "ohh shi..." moments, but surprisingly no one fell out of our boat the whole day. Some of the more notable moments were swimming through a whirlpool like thing where you get tossed around under water for around 10 seconds; and a 18 foot high rock we all jumped off of. There was an ass load of Class IV and Class V rapids with stupid huge waves, as you can see in the pictures. After all the rapids we swam under the bridge pictured and then got to load the boat onto a bus and go back to the base camp. We ate dinner at Dirty Ernie's Rib (whatnot) pit. Then went to a crazy platform to take pictures of the valley. The most fun part came after midnight really, me, Ryan, and Phil decided we didn't want to go to sleep yet, or set up tents, so we set up our stuff in a dining hall on tables to sleep on. But before that... we TP'd our guide's car, put it in neutral and rolled it down a hill 50 feet, and left him a note and some flowers so he didn't feel too bad about it. Besides, he was at a party getting smashed while we were doing this.
