I arrived yesterday into Thailand - bangkok. I don't really have time to write one of my mega-entries, so instead of trying to fit in a lot of awesome experiences into a few words, I'll tell you what happened when I left the school near phnom penh in full detail, and continue the story once I have more time.
On my last day at the orphanage I wasn't feeling all that strong - my tummy had left me feeling a little weak (I'm feeling fine now btw). I wasn't able to do much, but I felt happy and chilled out with my new friends. I found out that the bus back to phnom phen left at 4 in the morning! So I set my alram and at 4.45 I stepped on the bus, heading off. On little rickety bus (this time I got a proper seat - the time before I just had a raised cussion to sit on) i watched the dawn break, and then arrived back in Phnom penh. Samnang greeted me at his house, and I waited a couple of hours (I wrote my last report from there actually) before he gave me a lift, first to the bank where I was finally able to get a decent amount of money, and then got a tuktuk to the bus stop. He actually drove me to a few bus stations, asking in kmer each time to find there weren't any spaces. Eventually he found one for me, and I took the return trip back to siem Reap. Sadly the bus didn't take us into the town, and a crowd of tuktuk drivers asked us all if we needed a lift into town. I explained I needed to get a bit further on the other side of Siam Reap, and my driver took me to my hostel, before helping me to book my onwards journey to bangkok. He even offered to wait while I had a bite to eat, but I didn't need anything as i would be visiting the orphanage and surely would be invited to join for food there.
Back at the hostel I walked over to the orphanage - a few of the kids called out my name as I came in and asked me where I had gone. Sitha was at that point chatting to josefu, who had asked him if I'd been there. He was replying in the negative when I came over.
Right, I'd better head off now, so I'll finish part two when I get the chance! My adventure is going quicker than I can write it down at the moment.
