So, hockey soon, maybe? *crosses fingers* We've been watching the World Juniors which is entertaining in its own right, but not the same. I vacillate between planning to boycott the whole NHL when they finally get their shit together, and admitting that I'm unlikely to actually follow through with that. It's a dysfunctional relationship, me and the NHL.

getyourwordsout is currently open for sign-ups for the new year, and 2013 will likely be their last year as an organized group challenge. I did gywo in 2010 and 2011, but not this year as I thought the focus on raw wordcount didn't match my larger goals entirely. Although I've gotten a lot of writing-adjacent stuff done this year - website, a little marketing, submitting stuff, meeting other writers, going to a conference, that sort of thing - the volume of my completed works was not as high as I might have aimed for. So I am thinking of signing up for one last year - I can't decide what's best at the moment. There are a lot of things I need to accomplish in 2013, and planning for all of them is starting to freak me out.
I wish all of you a lovely end of the year and happy new one.
