So this is following uncomfortably on the heels of my similar rant the other day, but you know what I hate? When you have to call someone back to confirm an appointment. I don't need a reminder, and I don't want to have to call you. Because I am a functioning adult, when we made the appointment I wrote it down and am aware of its existence. If I

Amen. My old dentist -- whom I liked very much otherwise -- would stalk me for the few days before an appointment. First the office could call me and leave a voicemail asking me to call back to confirm my appointment. When I didn't do this promptly enough, they would start calling my work number. Then they would start texting me. Then they started sending me emails with a "click here to confirm!" button. WTF, jesus, yes, I am coming in to get my teeth cleaned, damn. At least the emails were fairly non-intrusive.
