What a deal!
God provided for me bigtime today with these shoes:
They're Columbia Titanium Deeogees, athletic trail shoes with a retail price of $100. I had not planned to go shopping today at all, but when I found myself in the general location of my favorite Off Broadway, I decided to look and see what they had.
See, when I was in California last, my only pair of athletic shoes bit the dust and I had to throw them out. During next week's visit to California with moneysocal, we're going to be walking and hiking enough that I know I need shoes! Something held me back from buying them over the past couple of months, and today I'm really glad for that restraint. These Deeogees are a perfect size, perfect fit, and perfect match for the types of activities that I do.
Off Broadway had only one pair left, and it had been marked down to $75, and then again to $50. I had a coupon and some reward points to apply, and there was also an unpublished Black Friday discount to be had when I got to the register.
Final price (including tax): $12.81 ... wow!
