it's a beautiful morning

Lacking groceries and the willpower to leave the house simply to get breakfast, I'm feasting on coffee and fortune cookies right now. Yummmmmmm! The fortunes are:

Give what you have; to someone it may be better than you dare to think
Do your work with your whole heart, and you will succeed
Don't let statistics do a number on you
After the ugly parts of last night, there were some really beautiful parts. LOST gave some hints that lend credence to my pet theories about the island -- I'm on the "it's purgatory" bandwagon -- although it confused me why Locke had to do _______ in order to reach his potential or be fulfilled or whatever. Even if Ben was lying about the "full potential" stuff, the story was pretty insistent that _______ had to happen. Odd.

I'd planned to read one of the three books I'm working on before going to sleep, but found myself on IM with a friend for a couple of hours. Sheesh! It was lovely, though, we swapped some music and some stories. Re-reading the conversation, though, I see that I ignored what he was saying a lot. Will be more respectful in the future. :-)

Today's activities include shelling out lots of $$$ to get my car's air conditioner up and running again, and then grocery shopping for the Apples of Gold grand finale dinner. I still think I'm the only person bringing an entree, and I was just told that the guest list is up to 25 people, but I'm no longer in panic mode about that. Thank you, God!

Okay, the end. Have a beautiful day, y'all!
