I sometimes look at you and think that you deserve someone better than me. When you are lying here next to me, the feeling of overwhelming thankfulness crosses my heart and mind. With your eyes closed angelically, your lips a light smile, your hair resting perfectly on your shoulders... I reach out my hand and lightly run my finger down the bridge of your nose that is now so familiar to me. You move a bit under the covers and snuggle closer to me. My heartbeat quickens a little, as it always has, but you are here by my side. You've chosen me - not anyone else - but me. I snuggle closer to you and put my arm around you, bringing up the blanket closer to us. I embrace you as you continue to sleep soundly in my arms. I have my faults and imperfections, but you chose to stay by my side, chose to let me love you, and I am so thankful.
