New Bonamana outfits! :D But that isn't what I mean when I say details (though really, Sungmin in a Tokio Hotel shirt? D: Not amused). I like this perf because there were some great little things that made it more awesome than the average MuCo appearance! Before I launch the real talk, though, just one thing - Heechul, aren't those women's clothes you're wearing? xD Only he can pull that off and still look cool.
The Kyu substitutes are getting better and better, although I still want him to hurry up and come back. *pout* I think this time it was really obvious that Donghae has problems with moving and singing at the same time because his note jumped every time he thrust his hips. That's something that shouldn't happen with idols, so this is a definite SME training fail. Apparently, they're teaching their idols how to dance and possible how to sing, but not how to combine both things properly. -.- It's a hard thing to learn, but not impossible. Look at Ryeowook, his voice really blows you away even live and when he's dancing, it's incredible!
Sungmin actually hit the high note today! :D I'm happy about that although I kinda liked the variation he did on last week's Inkigayo, that really gave the part a unique feeling. Maybe someone complained. But still, he did really great and this time, the slide didn't even look awkward. ^^ Did he practice over the last days? Apart from that, Leeteuk's and Ryeowook's substitutions are still as solid as always. :D
Leeteuk's smiles really made me grin. :D He's always so into delivering a perfect, professional performance, always looking into the camera and smiling whenever it's possible, he really is a great leader. Most of the time I worry about him because he seems so prone to overworking himself when he's trying to buoy SuJu's image all by himself, it actually aches to watch him sometimes, but I can't help but love him for the passion he's showing for the group and every individual member. <3 Also, I actually liked how they gave him a shirt to wear for this performance. His torso is nice to look at and all, but flaunting it around too much destroys the intended effect a bit.
I counted three finger licks today. xD The usual one Donghae does right before the dance break, the one Eunhyuk does one or two seconds after, and then towards the end Donghae does it again and I think it was more or less accidentally captured by the camera because at the time they were actually focusing on Leeteuk. Not that I'm complaining, but isn't licking at your gloves like that a bit gross? I can't imagine the leather tastes very good, especially not after they had to use their hands to support themselves for their breakdance-like freeze moves during the bridge. ^^''
Then, as a last point for this, I don't know whether the directing was great or sucked. They really had some awesome shots, some great ideas like the full-body tilt on Sungmin after his first solo line, like someone who lets his eyes slowly travel up his body, or the very long shots at the beginning that for once captured how the dynamics of the dance look like when you're watching the whole group. But then they also had awful wtf moments that had me wondering if they ever heard of a steady cam. The most awful moment was possibly the Heeteuk part in the bridge where the cameraman did this close-up of Heechul that cut off Leeteuk's face (so I could't even see if the sinful lip bite was back) and apparently was trembling so hard that the whole image was shaking. What the...? No, this isn't supposed to be some pseudo-realistic, avantgardist filming technique you're testing out, this is capturing a boyband performance, so people don't want experimental filming styles, they want clear and straight-forward shots of their favorite idols. -.-
Infinite: Better and better and better. There seems to be no limit. :D I approve of the outfits, they might even be nicer than the suit-inspired ones. ^^ Their singing is improving as well, and their performance is as energetic and flawless as ever. I think the directing here was also better than on Mnet because there were more group shots and also some unusual camera angles that nicely captured some of the moves. I still love the choreography, it's beautiful to watch and has flow. Also, the Marie Claire photoshoot was incredible, I think it really brought out their charms and their friendship. The pics are so much nicer than the still great, but not as wonderful Album pics.
C.N. Blue: *O* O.O Best performance so far, definitely. They are absolutely awesome plugged in and live! :DDDD I was kinda skeptical about Music Core before, but this is fantastic! Everything was perfect, from their voices to their playing, and even the adorableness that was Yonghwa looking for the right camera to look into! <333 They did some wonderful shots of Minhyuk, the stage was great as well, and it was just such a perfect vid to watch! :D
MBLAQ: I don't want to say much about this, only... did they suddenly improve with their singing or was the music just louder? I can't really decide...
All in all, a fantastic Music Core! :D
