Stuff
I haven't posted much on what's going on with me lately, so here is a quick update.
I went to a pirate themed party a few weeks ago. There are several tagged photos on my Facebook page, if you're on there. I wanted to do this on the cheap, so I bought a wig (It's an Avatar wig - I couldn't find dreads), made a scarf and cut the blade off a nerf sword to fit it in my Bellatrix wand pocket. The rest was clothing from existing costumes. Luminara's Jedi skirt, Gerard's shirt, and Bella's corset. ;)
Dragon Con is in a few weeks - AAAHH! I may bring the pirate, but won't have anything else new. I'm trying to get a rudimentary version of Dark Galadriel ready for "A Long Expected Party 2" at the end of September.
At the beginning of July, I went to a screening of Serenity, deciding to finally see what the fuss was all about. Some friends gave me the DVD of the Firefly series. I am officially hooked. I will have something special to bring to D*C. Many people have Jayne hats, but I have Jayne flip-flops, lol.
I may try to start a PFLAG chapter in my county after the conventions. I've hooked up with a couple of other people who are interested.
