Hi. as you may or may not know, It's winter time. Here in the northeast, this means snow. SHOVEL YOUR FUCKING SIDEWALK. Yes, I know, at six a.m., you're running late for work, and it takes all of your get-up-and-go to dig out your car, shoveling your walk is the last thing you want to do; and I feel for you, really, I do... but not nearly as much as I feel the crack of my tailbone on the concrete three hours later because you were too lazy to shovel a few extra feet. It's not even just a matter of courtesy; most cities and towns have ordinances that require you to shovel your walk. If someone were to fall and injure themselves, it would fall under YOUR homeowners' insurance.
Honestly, I can even understand not shovelling while the snow is still falling... yeah, you probably should have salted when you ran out for bread and milk in that frenzied panic people seem to get when the weather says "snow"; but even looking beyond that-- if it snowed on friday, and your walk remains unshovelled and unsalted on monday morning, all the fines and the lawsuits that can be levied in your direction aren't enough, and you should probably be drug out into the street and shot.
