a sense of place

I wanted to watch a Chinese-language drama and managed to get myself hooked on this one yesterday. It's the first one I've ever watched that doesn't feature Vic/周俞民(!!!). I'm on episode 17. Each episode is an hour. Don't worry, I completely recognize that this is an intense waste of time.

I am on day 4 of my 5 day weekend. I don't remember what it feels like to get up early and sit at my desk all day anymore. Wednesday is going to be a rude awakening.

Anyway, it was almost 60 degrees out today and sunny, so I took some time out of drama watching to go climb a nearby mountain, where there are also 1600ish? year old castle ruins. I didn't go very far, just high enough to get a nice view of the city. I sat there for a while, and it was really comfortable.

I forgot my camera, so phone picture:

Lately, I have taken to reading in the bath, because they say you should stay in for over 20 minutes. It's nice, because with all of my electronics I don't have time set aside to just read anymore.

I'm still trying to decide what to do tomorrow. I'm thinking about going to see a waterfall and getting tofu doughnuts, but the 2 hour bus ride.... ://
