portraits

Shirley guilted me into going outside today, so I ended up walking to the National Portrait Gallery and back.  That's something like 5 miles!  Hopefully I made up for the gluttony yesterday, at least a little.

I really liked the Presidents collection, but I'm a bit disappointed that only the White House has this portrait of JFK, which is by far my favorite.  I was hoping to get a picture because cameras aren't allowed in the White House :///

I finally finished a drama today for the first time in months (since Yuukan Club in January, I think).  I really liked Hataraki Man even though it doesn't deliver at all on the romance aspect I am so obsessed with.  I want to watch a simple, light-hearted love story.  I'm not sure that I have one. (Is Zettai Kareshi feel good/happy ending?)

This week looks like it'll be big!  I'm having dinner with my Wellesley "mentor" tomorrow, took off work on Tuesday to go to the Campus Progress Conference (John Edwards will be there!), touring the Pentagon on Wednesday and having our intern lunch with the Senator, the Kerry vs. Kennedy softball game on Thursday... and just Friday.  I think I'm excited.
