"alot" is not a word. It is "a lot." Two words. Two wordsssssssssss. Please. The little grammar/spelling freak that still does live inside me dies a little bit each time an adult English speaker tries to pull an "alot" on me.
Am I wrong???? Do British people spell it "alot"??? Why do so many people still do it?!
If not, what were their fourth grade teachers doing. .____.
