喜びの歌 song of joy / ode to joy(?)

My attempt at the yorokobi no uta lyrics.  By ear, so I could be wrong... but I think I have most of it, considering I've listened to it like over 30 times now.  XD

喜びの歌 )

music, kat-tun, lyrics, japanese

The lyrics were in the July Myojo Young Song book but it was incomplete, but from what they have, the following is different

Verse 2 Line 3:

消えそうなKissで温めて
Same romaji, different kanji ^^

Ooh, I'll change that, thanks~~

There are probably a lot more differences on that end, though... which parts they decided to write in kanji and which are hiragana and where the katakana comes in.. no way to predict until you see the official lyrics, gah. @___@

Your icon is really really beautiful ♥♥♥♥

No problem :D

Ah about the writing in kanji/hiragana/katakana. There were already a few words that they decided to just write in hiragana in the Myojo song book, such 時 being written as とき, but I don't think it matters much ^^

Thank you~ :3 Yours, too, as a matter of fact ♥

Thank you! It's so sweet...XDD I love that it's Koki's theme song.

A+ for the "Rap!" =P That made my night.

[dies] Thanks so much for the translation! Ahhh, I liked it before, but I love it more now that I know for sure what it means.

Um... my interpretation of note #3?
I think you've pretty much got it (you're Japanese is a lot better than mine anyway xD), but I think it's basically saying something along the lines of the cliche "can't be seen with the naked eye," or "beauty beneath the surface."

hold on to beauty that can't be seen with eyes
It's supposed to be deep? Poetic? xD ♥
Like.. not physical beauty, but the beauty of the essence of a person that can only be sensed and understood by the heart. That kind of thing. Beauty of personality, etc, etc. xD

But yeah, I think you understood that anyway? ♥
And thank you for this! Now I can sing along a bit without fudging words randomly. ^__^

本当のこれ 目に見えない 美しさを抱いて

I had a lot of trouble with that part because I don't know what the "kore" is referring to. And for a long time I wasn't sure if they were singing "koe" or "kore"... graaah. =__= But yeah, you're definitely right about the not-visible kind of beauty.. I guess my issue is with how the "hontou no kore" part connects to the line right beneath it. ://///

Thank you~~ :D

Well I think it's Koe... I dunno

But if it is it would be translated something like this :

Your true voice
My eyes can't see
This beauty that I'm holding

I listened to it some more and I think you're right. The first time around, it's possible that they're saying 'kore'.. but the second time around, there is definitely just an 'e' sound. I had 'kore' down because I thought it made more sense, but in retrospect, it doesn't seem that much better...

I think I'm going to change it back like you suggested. Thanks~
