harder better faster

I am going to try calorie counting again. I haven't stopped lifting. I don't understand why this is working so poorly, but I am still trying.

Goal is to consume ~1600 calories. This is more than I eat naturally.

Goal 2 is to eat less throughout the day + less processed throughout the day.

I need to find a lifting regime that doesn't destroy me and actually uses machines. My current haphazard manner is too easy. Is it even possible to not develop any muscle after six months of this???

Let's see where I land in four weeks.

Maybe I need a nutritionist. Urgh.
