2 months 2 books
I'm really behind with this, augh, but at least on target so far this year.
In my second month, finished my second book. The first was Speaking with the Angel, an anthology edited by Nick Hornby. I bought it obviously completely for that name, and wasn't really into a lot of the stories... which is why it took forever. I picked it up again last September??
I finished Confessions of a Mask by Yukio Mishima (in English) during my bath tonight. The beginning is really fast and so is the end, but the middle... I honestly had no idea what to expect of this book and only bought it because it was like $4 at a used bookstore. It's dark and grotesque and rambly/psychological and interesting and quite sexual. I wonder about where he tries to go in the end -- is it love without desire, why is there this strange not-quite relationship...?
Next I'm going to read something fun.
