New journal, but I've been on LJ since 2001. I don't update as often as I used to, but I keep up with my friends list. I'm very selective about who I add because after being on here so long I know what I want and don't want in an LJ friend

Hello there!

I hear that you are looking for new friends (but I see also that you want more people your own age). I might be in your eyes an -old- lady but I'm 32 in mind (if not younger) ;o) (turning 50 *gasp* next month). I think friendship is based on the heart though, and not on a number so i thought I gave it a shot anyway.

I really should fix this because what I really mean is that I'm just not into adding people who are 18 or so. -_- Having been that age myself I wouldn't know how to reply to their posts, honestly! :o Yesss, she told me about you! She didn't mention your username, but she did tell me about an epic spamming that happened on one (many?) of her posts. :D

You know, I think I've actually looked at your profile before but then I read that you weren't adding so I didn't comment. Having read your profile I feel we'd get along as well! A fellow longtime LJ-er? *high five* I feel like there's few of us left. :\

heh my icons i use for adding an extra touch when it comes to showing emotions. :o)
Where is the time I *ever* was happy with having just 6 ! *sigh*
I often check icons a person uses. The other day I was getting quite well along with someone in a conversation, but when I looked at his icons!! OMGGG!! They were all about rough sex and nasty stuff. Nope, not adding him!! No! *shakes head*

hehe yeah, that epic spamming would be *me* alright. It was endlessblush and me who gotten all over her because we felt it was pay-back-time for all the spamming she did to us. hahaha. She wàs expecting it somehow though, but still we managed to surprised her. *grins*

there are still old users here, you just have to search for them as they're rare. I have a few on my list though who already have journals from back in the days.
LJ has changed since than. It became more locked up yet one big family. Too bad I lost a bunch of really good friends to FB! *urgh*

On my old account I had a whole bunch but I found myself using the default so much that I ended up not getting them as an add-on. I agree about them adding an extra something. You have such a good variety. :D OMG that's such a let down! :? Think about what your icons say about you, people!

Some of the old timers I've seen around but I'm super picky. -_- I need to get better at finding them. Yes, FB. *glare* Guess some people prefer less in-depth communication. FB will never come close to LJ awesomeness.

Hi! Wandered over here from holiday_wishes. Not sure if I'm what you'd want in a LJ-friend, but I'd be willing to try it out and see? My journal is mostly real-life (although there is periodic fangirling mixed in, especially if I have a fic-writing deadline I'm stressing out about or some new installment comes out that I adore), but if depression or anxiety are triggers for you, we probably won't be a good fit. :) I read and comment far, far, FAR more than I actually post - and I've been on LJ since I was 14 (so - 14 years, heh), although this particular journal is a tad younger than that.

edit: I do try to put potentially triggering topics under cuts, although I've slipped up a few times if my mind was elsewhere. I tend to not post for a while, then suddenly post frequently, then not post again, but I'm pretty good about keeping up-to-date with non-fandom LJ post notifications and I'm very good at responding back to people in a timely fashion unless LJ eats a notification~

Hello! :D I'd be willing to try things out if you are! :-) I took a peek at your journal and see you ship Destiel! That reminded me of the 200th episode of Supernatural. I'm not really into fandom so I'm not sure what Asexual!Castiel means and I'm curious!

Seeing as I have anxiety as well no issues with that. I'm like you in that I comment more than I actually post. :-)

Thank you for the comment! We can try things out and if for some reason or another it doesn't work that's cool. I like to think I'm not a dramatic defriender/defriended person. :D

Haha, I'm the other way around - I'm more invested in Supernatural fandom than the canon. ;D Asexual!Castiel means stories of Castiel depicted as not experiencing sexual attraction (which, of course, is not canon-compliant from season 9 on). I love stories where Castiel and Dean are close, sometimes even romantic, sharing their lives and loyalty and devotion, maybe hand-holding or sharing the sort of casual kisses (some) people exchange with their loved ones that aren't strictly romantic/sexual, sleeping in the same bed, but not sexually intimate. :)

Yeah, I'm not dramatic at all, haha. If it doesn't work it, it doesn't work out, and we tried!

I hope it's OK if I "friend" you. I've been looking for similar. I'm 31, being a "housewife" without kids or ever wanting them. I have a dog and three cats and I love all critters. I write about my life and I like to read about others lives, as well. Not into fanfic or any of that.
