long overdue...
I've been bad and haven't been writing lately. So, here's the quick update...
Things have been extremely busy at work, as we're putting together an event for the Democratic Convention in Boston to honor Vicki Kennedy (Ted's wife). And, I found out recently, I get to go!! There's also an event called "Revolutionary Women" the day before our event, where Hillary Clinton and Carol Moseley Braun are speaking. Very excited about these two days. My goal for the time I'm there: hunt down and find Jon Stewart.
So then from Boston, I'm flying straight down to Georgia to spend the weekend on Little St. Simon's Island. It's my mom's 50th birthday, so the whole family is going to celebrate (minus my diabetic doggy). I love those Georgia coastal islands. We normally go to the normal St. Simon's Island. The Little one is privately owned - one hotel/lodge there, you have to eat there, and you have access to the whole island. Looking forward to kayaking, hiking, and riding horses!
Other than that, not much new. Lots of work, Spring cleaning, dancing, etc. This weekend I am apparently taking part in watermelon/vodka funtime. Never done this before, so I'm looking forward to it. I'll let you know how it goes.
