Take That, Knee

Oct 07, 2006 16:23

I did three miles both this morning and yesterday morning, and my right knee seems to be holding steady. Now, I've been taking pretty good care of it (paying careful attention to my strides, stretching extensively, letting it have the heating pad in the evenings), but I'd prefer to think that my lack of knee pain is because my knee has finally learned to fear me. Cower, little patella, for yours is an exacting and vindictive god.

Now I just need to put the fear of Me into my sinuses, which have so far maintained their viscous barricades with all the tenacity of ragtag student revolutionaries fighting off the French National Guard. Curse their misguided and ultimately futile idealism! Next time I'm skipping the Sudafed and sending in ROBOJEAN.

ETA: I succumbed. If ROBOJEAN is awesome enough to beat all the computer opponents using only the "s" key, he's awesome enough for an icon.

can it jump through hoops, idle hands and a tablet, flights of tangent
