BLAH!!
I've had to update my birthday list to include something VERY unexpected though not at all NOT awesome. Need a vintage style kettle, the kind you put on the stove and whistles when its done. And you know why I need such an arcane device?
I just tried to make myself a cup of tea. Realised the kettle wasn't working. What the? You're a new kettle, why aren't you working?! Then I realised the fridge inside light wasn't working when I opened the door to check if we had milk. Then I realised CRAP that means the wall socket that they're both plugged into isn't working >_<;;;
So I had to get an extension cord for the fridge to plug it in on the other side of the kitchen. And this ancient, decrepit (though I do love it, dammit) house has next to no wall sockets in the place. So I have to boil water in a pot on the stove for a cup of tea cause I don't want to plug the kettle and fridge into the same plug area that runs our phones and stuff in the kitchen >_<;;;

Weirdly though, I swear this cup of tea tastes better than the same kind I would make with just normal-kettle water. O_O
