YEAH GARDEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!=)
I was early for meeting my co-worker yesterday in Burnaby, so I decided to go look for a coffee shop and stumbled upon a huge garden store! Now normally this would not get me excited, but I have a huge garden @ my new place and I plan to plant some veggies, fruit, and herbs, etc. So I decided to go there instead of finding caffine. They have an awesome faery statue(concrete) for $30 or $35 I don't remember cuz I was so excited! so I'll be purchasing that this weekend with my helper J.K. As well as tomatoe plants, carrots, peas, peppers, hot peppers, etc., stawberries, cilantro, basil, chives,etc. mushroom manure(yum) I'm excited! So when I was done writing out my list and purchasing my shovel and very yummy jasmine candle I went to work for all of an hour and then drove home and started diggin'! I didn't even change out of my work clothes! And for all of you who know... my work clothes consist of dress pants, dress shirt, and a tie. Oh! and big black shoes! I just put on some gloves and away I went. The guy @ Garden Works told me that for a garden that size I should rent a rototiller so I don't break my break doing everything(which I fully plan on doing)but, I dug up all the bushes, roots, tree stumps, vines etc. and over turned all the soil with the shovel in 1.5hrs. Holy I busted it! I sweat like pig, but it was worth it. I'm still going to run over it quickly with a rototiller before I do anything, but shit, I rock! My back is a bit sore today, but worth it. It's the first time in quite a while that I feel like I've accomplished something! My reward...red wine of course! I never thought I'd ever be excited about gardening, who knew! Or maybe it's because I'm getting old! Yuck! I'll be 29 in June. Blahk! Anyway I have to go home and feed my boys(beautiful kitties).
