So Live 8 went pretty well then, all things Pete Doperty (oh, what a pun, thats genius) excluded, and i think it possibly highlighted its cause effectively. Lets just hope that the awarding of the 1212 Olympics to London doesnt upset Monsieur Chirac so much that he votes against the trade and poverty proposals. Hell if he thinks that British food will be sent to help then maybe they're better off.
But seriously, Sir Geldof can't be praised enough for his efforts, neither can Midge Ure, Richard Curtis and anyone else who pushed this campaign. To be honest I have criticised him in the past for being too naive in beleiving it you could throw money at the problem to make it go away, but they took a step back and saw that the rules had to sorted first, and fair play to them. If only the idiots (although the news title of anarchist is becoming more suitable) who rampaged in Edinburgh, Stirling and as i speak Auchterarder had thought first, or at all. Wow did you see the improvement of the developing world after one guy smashed a car window, go on man fight the good fight. Maybe it just looked at him funny.
Not relly got anything else to say on the matter which makes this a pretty short post....
