Reenactment and Cold Sassy
Tomorrow morning we are leaving for Tannehill. There is Civil War Reenactment there every year and we go to it for my brother's birthday party.
Last year, My sister Jesse, my friend Katy, and I met three or four boys from Greenville, Louisiana. (Or something to that effect. Maybe it was Mississippi.) These boys are real characters. Hicks inside and out, (especially inside). But were going to try and see if they are there this year. And, my old friend Zeb who I haven't seen in a long time might be there. Now there's another character. He once caught a flying bird right out of the air. And he collects swords.
I hope I don't see too many people there that I know because it's a very Confederate place. I just read Cold Sassy Tree by Olive Ann Burns and the people at the reenactment are just like that. Anyway, I'll have more to report after we get back.
