camp out!
This has been a fun weekend and I'm sad that it's Sunday because I have to study for my statistics test. On Thursday I arrived to class and everyone was there except for the one person we needed most: the one who had our final report! When he didn't show up and the projects had to be turned in, we gave our black and white unbound copy (held together with a binder clip). He showed up TEN MINUTES late (when the teacher had specified no late projects) and luckily, we were able to switch out our copies. But gave us quite a scare. I talked to Moby later on and he said he would call when he got off work. It was getting past 730 and I was getting pretty nervous... like "Great! We finally start talking and he wants to meet up and have me forgive him, but he has already skipped out on tonight's plans!" But he called (and I was able to see most of Reunion) and he even met Marzi. We headed over to Spiderhouse and spent a good couple of hours catching up and chatting. I learned a lot about some friends I haven't really talked to in the past couple of years... stuff that shocked me! I had a good time and it has already been determined he must accompany us to the Trail of Lights again this year because we always have so much fun. :) I'm glad Moby is back!!!
My Spanish class Friday was very fun. We went over vocabulary and got to learn a bit more about our profesora. Our class finished by learning how to salsa from one of our teacher's friends. It was a lot of fun and has convinced me I really want to learn how to do different dances but I just don't have time!!! I was busy at work and afterwards I headed back to my apartment to chill with Marzipan. Kelly called once she finished lunch with her old roomie and came over here. After goofing around on facebook, we went to Chelsea's birthday party. Around 1230 we left and she went home.
Saturday I actually got to sleep in and it was glorious! I watched The Game and was sadly disappointed. My goal is to go to The Game in two years when it is back at the M Den. I showered and got ready for a night out in the wilderness. I picked Kelly up and we met up with the rest of the girls and headed out to Pace Bend Park. It was dark by the time we got out there and eventually figured out the tents. The park had a ban on ground fires which put a damper on our whole bonfire with smores idea. Instead we had to hang around the grill and constantly use lighter fluid to get a fire going. It didn't do much for our hot dogs! We were able to make smores on the grill and then spent a couple of hours talking (first outside and then we moved inside our huge tent as it got colder). I had so much fun and yes, it was cold, but it was exhilerating! We woke up this morning around 730 and it was sooo beautiful outside! We took some pictures and then headed back to campus. I'm so glad I got to go this year!
Marzi and I napped and now it is time to head home for the day. :)
