taxidermy update!
remember when i said i found a guy on ebay who sells squirrel pelts (to those of you i know personally), i had intended to order them to skip the whole skinning process and just jump right into the taxidermy part, i have my mannequins, am about to order some glass eyes, i'd consider myself well on my way. so long story short, i got it in the mail today, and it turns out i was wrong. the reality of the situation is, i ordered a completely intact and very much dead squirrel through the mail, which was delivered to my house today.
i was unwrapping the squirrel as layla was wrapping a present for heather's birthday (ironically), and quickly through the squirrel behind my computer where she couldnt see with a *thud* before she could realize what i was doing and what i had unwrapped. then i casually looked around my room for the ziplock bag my monkey skull came in, put the squirrel in that, and then moved it behind my bed. she finished wrapping, a couple kisses goodbye, and the squirrel is now downstairs in the freezer, next to the food of my 3 vegetarian roomates. i don't see how anything could possibly go wrong...
