pistols at dawn!

phillip and i are starting a dueling society, all we need now is to invest in some flintlock pistols. we're going to be using wax bullets and probably wear goggles to avoid doing any real damage to each other. i still need to do some research into laws and pistol/ammunition types because most of the wax bullets i've found are made for revolvers and i'm not sure if they'll work in muzzleloading guns.

this weekend i'm meeting layla's mom, we're going down to monterey and staying in carmel for a night.

tomorrow we're having mothballs practice with special guest organ player justin from harold ray for our upcoming show march 9th that ryan can't make.

i've been writing lots of new mothballs songs lately too, so that's exciting, they're pretty awesome if i say so myself.

i've also started wearing spats as part of my daily attire, except i need more pairs in other colors, they're pretty great and i wish they wouldn't have gone out of fashion. at the flea market this old lady and her husband ran up to me talking about how they hadn't seen anyone wear spats since the 40's when people would wear them to church.

i should be getting my first squirrel mannequins and pelts in the mail in a couple weeks so i can get started on my first taxidermied animals! eventually i'd like to make stuff like those candlesticks, dioramas of rodents recreating historical events, and fur bearing trouts.

the end of march marks the beginning of the new clamping season, i'm gonna initiate phillip, it should be a good time.

i finally invested in a really nice set of antique dominos too, but i'll probably continue just sticking with my plastic set that i keep in my bag wherever i go, and save the nice ones for when people come over. carrying dominos around in my bag has been a pretty good decision, because now when im out and have downtime, i just go to a bar and play this solitaire game i learned (which is extremely hard to win, and i've only won once!).
