Slanty Almost but not quite Shanty

The search is over! We've been looking for a new place to live (my kingdom for a door to the bedroom!) that didn't raise our monthly housing costs but at the same time didn't lose many amenities. After weeks of apartment hunting, we found a place and put down a deposit. The place is a lot slantier than where we live currently, but it's huge for the price and is all bills paid. It costs $50 more than we pay now, but it includes water, gas and electric, which total way more than the difference. The downside (apart from the slantiness) is that we lose our washer and dryer. The cost difference still makes up for that, since utilities for the current place total about $125 a month (only water and electric- no gas). I'm hoping doing laundry at a laundromat doesn't run $75 a month. Maybe clothes will get folded and put away now! A big plus is that the new place has an extra bedroom (also with a door!). It's not perfect, and it's not all that nice, but given what we need, it is a step up. The sucky part is that moving is going to cost a lot, even if the place is cheaper once we're settled, it's still $300 for the deposit. $300 which could be used to buy baby stuff. Yes, i will get my deposits back on where we live now, but i think that totals around $200, if that. I'm trying to be happy and not stressed, but it's tough. We'll make this work, dammit.
