Lloyd's first few weeks in camp have been hilarious. In his first thread he got into a fight with a serial killer! Then he found out that someone in camp was from his world's future and everything he'd ever worked for in his life would come to nothing! Then his best friend and both of the final bosses of his games deaged, and at the end of that, the death event started and one of his good friends and then the villain he had a stronger relationship with (after he'd aged up again) both died. End of week 2! Luckily he's gotten some downtime since then, but basically anyone else would be feeling the strain by now.
Lloyd... is feeling the strain, but he has too much momentum to ever really get knocked down, so he is fine. He likes camp all right, though he's been traveling pretty much nonstop for a couple of years and being stuck in one place is making him seriously antsy. He has some of his friends around him, and some people he didn't think would get second chances are getting them, so that is good. He is making new friends and acquiring new goals and rolling with it! Camp hasn't taken away his momentum at all.
He will also totally be my primary for a while, I am having ridiculous amounts of fun with him.
Ten things Jesse regrets? EXCEPT I MEANT TO WRITE FIVE so five would also work.
1) Egg-gate 2010 tops the list. Everyone involved in it (namely, Rachel and himself) has sworn never to speak of it again, and if anyone else brings it up, they immediately get side-eyed and ignored. 2) That time Finn convinced him to watch the Clash of the Titans remake. 3) Having some Katy Perry on his iPod. It is the ultimate mark of shame and if anyone ever catches him with it, he has no idea how he'll explain it. 4) His terrible caffeine addiction. ): He realizes that it is not good for his voice or his health. He is actually working on kicking that! HIS LIFE IS SO HARD. SOOOOOO HARD. 5) ... and not opening up to people any sooner than the past six months, I guess.
Are there any canons you'd love to see apped into the game?
Yes, the Akira manga! IT IS A FAVORITE OF MINE FOREVER and it would be excellent to see cries of "Kanedaaaaaa!" and "Tetsuoooo!" bouncing off camp's rooftops.
How much does Iwasawa lie to herself? I mean, is the way she sees herself and the world pretty much how things are, or does she have any serious quirks of self-delusion?
She sees things pretty much as they are! Which makes her a bit bitter at times, although that rarely comes through. [Her father was a drunk who would beat her mother, and music was only really an escape and later became her actual way out of that life!] In camp, she doesn't exactly consider it a second chance at life. She knows that when it's over and when she leaves, she will move on. She's at peace with it, although anyone who tells her that camp is her "second chance" will get a polite smile in that "hahaha no you're funny" sort of way. But how Iwasawa sees camp is another essay entirely.
What one character from any of your canons do you want in camp the most and why?
Either of my tragic ToS redheads would be fabulous right now, thank you. I'd like a Zelos a little more than a Kratos because he's a character type I love a lot - I actually considered apping him before I apped Lloyd instead - but I adore them both. Zelos in particular is a hot player who totally hates himself and has stellar self-confidence at the same time. Lloyd emotionally owns him by telling him that there's value in his life, and he responds by draping on him a lot, annoying him, making an entire country's officials call him Sir Bud, and attempting to teach him to pick up women. He has a super good heart and gives ACTUALLY VERY DECENT ADVICE and is a flirty dickface who calls women his hunnies and is ultimately topped by everyone who cares enough to do it, I love him.
YOU HAVE PIQUED MY INTEREST. Iwasawa's views on camp?
BASICALLY: she is dead, she is going to move on. Camp isn't really her second chance because a second chance would imply that she'd get to grow up and move on. From where she stands, she can't do that. In canon, she finally was fulfilled and moved on! So when she leaves camp, Iwasawa knows she'll be back to that state - moving on, reincarnating into someone or something else, and then she'll have "another chance." Just not as Iwasawa.
Instead, she sees camp as a place where she can continue fulfilling her lifelong drema, which was to save people through music. Her life was pretty awful! It wasn't until she really got into music that she started finding hope, and she wants people to feel the same way about her music. It's too late for her, she knows, but it's not too late for some of the people here. And if her music can touch them somehow, then ... that would be the best thing, in her opinion. So currently, Iwasawa isn't really living for herself, necessary? She doesn't plan on making friends or really expanding her horizons or anything. She wants to make music and touch people that way. It's mildly depressing, really.
Reversing one of your other questions - who would you try to top me into apping?
ZELOS WILDER - I was actually just thinking that I should've mentioned that he's also the answer to that question, in my last reply! You seem to enjoy characters of the "hot mess" variety.
What makes you uncomfortable versus comfortable with how your characters can develop in play, outside of canon?
Hmm. My comfort levels vary! As long as it stays within the realm of believability in canon, I'm okay with them developing and growing in whichever way possible. I mean, I'm more of a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants RPer, where I don't really plan for stuff to happen or for a certain arc to occur. I MEAN. I never saw half of Jesse's stuff coming, which is fun. I think I only get uncomfortable when things veer way the heck out of control, and even then, it's not that bad? IT'S AN ADVENTURE.
Sera's chilling. I should do more with her now that the death event is over - she was technically dying during that but I didn't have the energy to mess with it just then so I handwaved it. She's mostly jesusing villains and making out with Heat offscreen. She signed up for the baking club and Ys is paying for her to have a WoW account, which is making her want to try to write her own videogame! Just day-in-the-life stuff. Sera is my goto zen character after her two years at camp; she never quite gets jaded or apathetic, but she's generally very secure in herself and calm about life these days.
